The Visual Arts and Design Educators Association of NSW Incorporated seeks to promote the study of Visual Arts and Design education and to inspire and support visual art and design teachers.
VADEA is a new professional teachers' association that has replaced the Art Education Society in NSW. Our goals include:

- Foster opportunities for professional development and promote of best practice in the field Visual Arts and design education.
- Provide a forum to share ideas and establish a robust professional network, and support teachers through workshops, conferences, website, publications and other resources.
- Connect visual arts and design educators in a range of fields, including galleries, museums, universities, high schools and primary schools. And service the needs of educators in both metropolitan and regional areas.
