Art, Identity and Place

NSW Regional Galleries are awash with topical and cosmopolitan shows at the moment. As there is so much rich material to work with, this article is the first of two articles about Art, Identity and Place developed from recent and current regional art exhibitions in 2017.

Arts education can/should/does, Foster the capacity to respond to major global challenges, from peace to sustainability: Recent and Current Regional Art Exhibitions in 2017
This article is about exploring the ideas presented in the “Seoul Agenda: Goals for the Development of Arts Education,” a 2010 UNESCO “Second World Conference on Arts Education” (25 – 28 May 2010). You can locate this document in the VADEA Members Area under “Resources” – Art Education Papers. Rather than listing the regional art exhibitions here, I will name them as they are refered.
