We have a new website!

The VADEA NSW executive are delighted to launch our brand new website!

The goal of our volunteer executive is to offer the best support possible to NSW Visual Arts and Design educators and we hope that the new website will be a valuable way to facilitate this process. It reflects many hours of planning and work… and there is more to come. We encourage you to have a good look at our fresh new image, new pages and the resources currently online. The new site features integrated social media links for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to foster improved communication and easy sharing of ideas along with a streamlined and more organised format. It is envisaged that the VADEA NSW website will keep you up to date with the latest news concerning curriculum, art-world events, professional development and best practice in art and design education.

As a member of VADEA NSW you are part of a professional community of art and design educators. The new website will offer you exclusive and unlimited access to new resources for use in the classroom and news and advice regarding syllabus developments and matters concerning art and design education in NSW and Australia.

Call for contributors.
As part of this community we value your experiences and views and would like to share them with the other VADEA members, so we are looking for people to contribute to the art and design education discussion by writing one or more articles, documenting an exhibition or sharing imagery and/or stories from the classroom. If you would like to contribute or have any questions about writing for VADEA NSW please email us at or message via facebook.

Conference Registration is Live!
If you aren’t already a member (of haven’t renewed your membership) then we encourage you to do so today. The highly anticipated 2016 Conference is on in May and registration is now open. You can pay via online bank transfer and very soon our website will be accepting Paypal payments. Over the next month we will continue to fine tune the website and to roll out many resources in the members section.

The 2016 Conference Program, Papers Submission Form and Registration Form are now available. As we countdown to the conference we will announce more speakers, papers and workshops so like us on Facebook and watch the news feed on the website for more details.

Overnight you should have received an email from us with a new password for the website. If it is missing after a couple of days or you are having difficulties with the website you can get in touch by sending an email to or send us a message on facebook.
