VADEA NSW is proud to invite Visual Arts teachers in the Far North Coast to participate in a professional development opportunity. The first Inspire and Indulge for 2016

On Friday, the 8th of April Murwillumbah High School will host the first VADEA Regional Inspire professional development day for visual arts teachers in regional areas in 2016. This is an opportunity to exchange resources, new ideas, programs and learning strategies for teaching Visual Arts, Visual Design and Photographic and Digital Media.
Inspire
The focus of Regional Inspire is Stage 4 to Stage 6.The program format will include a series of short presentations from Wendy Ramsay (Regional Support Officer VADEA NSW, Lecturer, School of Education, Faculty Arts and Social Sciences UTS) Bev Cooke and Jodi Mackenzie (Visual Arts Teachers, Murwillumbah High School), Tracey Gee (Visual Arts Teacher Banora Point High School), Karen Preston (Visual Arts Teacher, Byron Bay High School), Jodi Ferrari (Education and Audience Development Officer, Tweed Regional Gallery and MOAC) and Dr Lexi Cutcher (Senior Lecturer, School of Education, Southern Cross University) with resource demonstrations from S and S Wholesale and Eckersleys. Presentations will address the dissemination of knowledge, understanding and skills in the making and the critical and historical study of visual arts informed by practice, the conceptual framework and the frames.
Indulge
Indulge is a free VADEA event aimed at bringing VADEA members together to ‘indulge’ in an informal afternoon of art, listen to specialist speakers and make new professional contacts in a collegial atmosphere. The Indulge program will include artist presentations by Kirsten Coelho and Hobie Porter and a tour of the Margaret Olley Art Centre
Refreshments will be provided so please indicate whether you have any dietary requirements.
