Yuki Kihara is an interdisciplinary artist of Japanese and Sāmoan descent whose artmaking practice includes performance, dance, sculpture, video, photography, as well as curatorial practice. Kihara’s most recent critically acclaimed exhibition Paradise Camp, curated by Natalie King OAM, was presented at the Aotearoa New Zealand Pavilion as part of the 59th Venice Biennale. Kihara is the first Pacific artist to be presented in the New Zealand pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Paradise Camp is touring the Powerhouse Museum Ultimo until 28th December 2023.
