Who is VADEA?The Visual Arts and Design Educators Association of NSW (VADEA) is a passionate, not-for-profit professional association dedicated to supporting and advocating for visual arts and design education across New South Wales. We support educators and leaders working in primary, secondary, and tertiary settings, as well as professionals in galleries, museums, and community arts organisations. Founded by educators for educators, VADEA is driven by the belief that visual arts and design education is essential to student learning and cultural understanding. Our work reflects a strong professional commitment to supporting educators through meaningful professional development, building a connected and collaborative community, advocating for the value of our subject area, and expanding access to current research and policy. We aim to empower visual arts and design educators across all sectors to be confident leaders, skilled practitioners, and passionate advocates for the role of creativity in education. We are always looking for passionate individuals to join our volunteer team. If you are committed to the future of visual arts and design education and want to help shape meaningful opportunities for teachers and students, please get in touch to express your interest!
